Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey
It was an amazing game of Manny Pacquiao! He is successful in defending his belt from challenger Joshua Clottey who has nothing to lose even he would lose to this match (maybe his pride).
I truly enjoyed this match as if I was watching a practice game of Manny Pacquaio. Clottey was like a punching bag, receiving every blows of Manny from jab to body blows and variety of combination such as rhythm punches to street fight style, especially the double knuckle slap which he received a warning. As I watched the game at first I was annoyed of what I’ve seen but as the rounds keeps moving on I was laughing about it. My friend’s and I were laughing if “Clottey still remember to throw punches”. But in contrast Clottey’s steel arm of defense was indestructible (maybe, that’s why Clottey was so heavy on throwing punches).
But as I have seen it, Manny’s rail gun of punches can’t penetrate the steel-wall of defense of Clottey at the same time that bullets if went through-it, its damaging and that’s the main reason why Clottey’s cowering from the beginning up to the end of the 12 round(sigh!).
The other thing on this game is Clottey’s protecting his title as a boxer who never struck down and can stand in Pacquiao’s blows but he was almost did it in the first round.
Anyway Pacquiao wins on unanimous decision (it’s obvious), who would expect Clottey to win by pure defense? As what a Filipino sports commentator said “It’s just like basketball, you can’t win the game by defense but by taking a shot and score”.
It was so a satisfying to the audience how Manny win the game but not to those who loses their bets in knocking down Clottey in 6-8 rounds.
