Toyota Prius crash incident

A 56 year-old woman was driving the Toyota Prius when it went uncontrolled and accelerated and hit hard against the stone wall. According to the old-woman driver as she went out from driveway her car accelerated and she was unable to control it. The impact was so strong when some of the stones from the stone wall were found 10 feet away. She was lucky in avoiding serious injury when the Prius air bag inflated and protected her.
As we remember Toyota has recalled 8.5 million vehicles worldwide, about 6 million are from the United States, due to the acceleration problem in some models and brake problems in Prius.
The Police still found no clues of what’s the reason of the acceleration problem. Most issues of the recalled Toyota cars was the floor mat issue, but the crashed Prius find it clear from the issue especially it went through Toyota service and secured its floor mats.
Police kept the car for investigation and maybe Toyota will also investigate.
Also a day before the incident another report when a Prius car was stopped because it was running 85mph due to pedal jammed.
Driving unserviced Toyota might be dangerous so better checked it or else.
